Rustic Summer Wedding at Whippoorwill Hill

The afternoon sun flooded the lawn of Whippoorwill Hill with brilliant light. The rain and clouds from earlier in the morning were nowhere to be found. The day was as beautiful as the two lovers that stood front and center. Emotion spilled out as Ashley and John exchanged their vows to each other. Tears were everywhere. After 9 years together, the moment had FINALLY come. Just before they put the rings on and said, “I do”, John announced he had a special gift for Ashley. He pulled out a piece of paper from his jacket. On it he wrote in big letters, “I <3 U”. The crowd burst into laughter. This wasn’t your typical ceremony.

This couple displayed an incredible and mature love for one another. They were so comfortable with each other that their true sense of humor could shine. They were hilarious. Whenever we were taking photos of them, everyone involved was laughing. It takes real character to keep such a light heart on such a big day. Even when things behind the scenes may have been hectic, this couple was unshakable.

John and Ashley, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for trusting us to serve you on your wedding day. You had us laughing from the beginning of your engagement session until we said our goodbyes at your reception. Though we were soaked in sweat on such a hot and humid day, we would gladly do it again for you two. You both are role model parents, lovers, and individuals. We can only hope to be just like the both of you in the future.

We wish you and your entire family all the best as you begin this new chapter in your life. We know it will only get better and better.
