Rustic Summer Wedding at The Barn at Timber Ridge

The white drapes on the rustic wooden arch were gently billowing in the breeze. Music was playing softly in the distance. Soon, footsteps could be heard on the gravel approaching the ceremony site at The Barn at Timber Ridge. The wedding party had made their way to the aisle. All eyes were trained on them as the sharply dressed groomsmen and beautiful bridesmaids began their procession to the altar. Everyone, especially Kyle, was straining to see the bride. As the last one to walk down the aisle, Jenny had a moment alone with her dad before she looked up at Kyle’s shining face. They locked eyes and both giggled. Every single person in attendance wore big smiles as they witnessed Kyle and Jenny join together in marriage.

We met Jenny last year at one of our favorite coffee shops in Bloomington. We were drawn to her sweet smile and love for her dogs. We met Kyle when we photographed their engagement session last fall when they were staying at a cute little cabin in Brown County. We also met their dogs - Daisy and Forrest. Don’t get me wrong, we love all of our couples, but we have a very special love for those that are animal lovers. One of their dogs even had a chew toy shaped like a camera. Jenny and Kyle, way to win our hearts.

In addition to being an amazing couple, Jenny and Kyle chose one of our favorite venues to celebrate their big day. Double win for us :) We always love the opportunity to photograph at the Barn at Timber Ridge and are thankful for the friendship that we have developed with the owners who always go above and beyond for the weddings that they host. Jenny and Kyle’s special day was no exception - from the amazing taco bar to the DJ that kept their guests dancing for hours.
