Brown County Engagement

What comes to your mind when you think of October? I’m sure everyone has vivid memories of watching scary movies, trick-or-treating, and sitting around a fire on cool evenings. One of my favorite parts of October is ditching all of my summer clothes for comfy, warm flannels and sweaters. So naturally, when you’re planning an October photo session months in advance, all of these thoughts come to mind. There was one problem though. The weather this weekend didn’t get the memo that it was October. When we met with Kyndra, Jake, and their dog Max in Nashville, we were greeted with 85 degree weather.

Did Kyndra and Jake show up in their summer clothes though? No. They wanted pictures that represented fall. Pictures that brought all those nostalgic October memories to mind. We always tell our clients before we start a session that the poses will “feel weird, but look great”, but Kyndra and Jake seemed to accept this before they even showed up.

We were so happy they did, because the photos turned out AMAZING! While we love all of our clients, we were so happy to spend time with this delightful couple. After 5 loving years together, we could see how comfortable they were with each other. And it showed in every photo. We threw in their adorable puppy, Max, into a few photos and captured the cutest little family ever!

Kyndra and Jake, thank you for choosing us as your photographers and thank you for suffering through an unusually hot October session with us. It was a pleasure spending time with the both of you and we are so excited to work with you again next September.

Below you can find some of our favorite photos from your session!
