When I got to Karlie and Zack's front door, I braced myself for the love of their two big dogs, Hank and Heidi. Karlie opened the door with a big smile, obviously excited for the session that she had been planning for WEEKS.
Those that know Karlie know that she's a planner, which means that all of her sessions are adorable!! She's also a photographer so she thinks through all of the details :) Her cute white Jeep, Daisy, was decorated with string lights, soft blankets, and fluffy pillows in preparation for her date night with her hubby, Zack.
We chatted in the kitchen as she brewed coffee. We heard something outside that sounded like a chainsaw. I looked at Karlie and she laughed.
"20 bucks says Zack's blowing the leaf blower on the fire."
We went out back where Zack was indeed blowing the leaf blower into the fire pit, starting a small fire. The wood sizzled from the previous nights rain.
As they finished getting ready, I looked around at the photos on their walls. Karlie told me her plans for putting their recent wedding photography on the wall next to photos from their engagement session earlier this year.
We started their session in a field with a crumbling barn and a small wooded area. Zack spoke softly in Karlie's ear as they snuggled up on a fallen tree. It was chilly, but they didn't seem to mind. We finished their session warming up by the fire sipping hot coffee with whipped cream.
Zack and Karlie, you made my job easy. Seriously. You both glowed as you dip kissed, nuzzled, and giggled. It's easy to see how crazy you two are about each other, and it was my pleasure capturing your love. You both kept me smiling with your jokes, giggles, and pet names. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your ADORABLE date night. Enjoy your sneak peek :)

I seriously can't stop looking at these!!!!!!! You did such a phenomenal job Grace. You made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and capture our true self perfectly. Zack isn't a huge lover for getting his picture taken, but he told me after you left he actually had fun. THAT WAS A FIRST! <3 Thank you so much for everything you've done!
